Protecting and Promoting the Quarter Horse Breed

The Canadian Quarter Horse Association is an international affiliate of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and is dedicated to supporting the growth, promotion, and welfare of the American Quarter Horse throughout Canada.

As one of the largest equine breed associations in Canada, the Canadian Quarter Horse Association works to represent horse owners, breeders, and enthusiasts while supporting responsible ownership, industry education, and equine advocacy at a national level.

Our Mission

The mission of the Canadian Quarter Horse Association is to protect the Quarter Horse industry in Canada and serve as the national voice to Equestrian Canada and government agencies involved in equine health, welfare, livestock, and agriculture.

The association supports AQHA rules, procedures, and objectives while helping educate horse owners on the benefits of registering and transferring ownership of eligible American Quarter Horses in Canada. Through education, advocacy, and member engagement, the association encourages continued growth within the breed and the equine community.
